Happy 3rd Birthday Karys!
My Sweet Pumpkin,
3 years ago I held you in my arms, and from that moment on I fell in love.
I loved the way your eyes searched for someone comforting and how you would quiet down when I began to sing to you.
I loved the feel of your sweet skin as you snuggled up next to mine.
I loved the sweet little noise you would make when you ate, and then once you feel asleep on my chest, you'd continue to coo. Music to my ears.
I loved the way your daddy held you and you made him smile in a way I'd never seen before.
I loved how perfectly you fit in my arms and how it was as though something had been missing from them for so long.

Three years later: I love the little girl you are becoming. My heart swells with pride as I think of your sweet, sweet spirit.
I love when your beautiful big blue eyes look right into mine. It's moments like that when my whole world stops!
I love it when you sing songs to me, and are praising Jesus! But even more, I love when you have to have mommy sing your goodnight songs because nobody else can do it right.
I love how you smell in the mornings when you come into our room to wake us up.
I love how you always want to do whatever daddy is doing, and how you tell him, "Daddy, I'm gonna marry you someday." You know how to make his throat hurt.
I love to hear your little voice say, "I love you mommy!" when you are cuddled close in my arms.
I love the sensitivity you have when you see others are sad.
I love to see you act like a big sister and take care of Hannah. There is just something special about being the big sis. Hannah's lucky to have you love her sooo much!
I love your curiosity and eagerness to learn. You are so bright!

God has amazing things planned for your life Karys, and we pray daily that you will know and love Jesus at an early age. You are becoming a sweet, caring and loving girl. Daddy and I are so proud and honored to be your mommy and Daddy. Thank you for being our little girl!
Karys at her 3rd Birthday Party. One of Karys' best friends was born just 12 days before her. Karys and Emma have pretty much done everything together in life and they are great friends. Here they are at just a couple weeks old, and then at their "shared" 3rd birthday party. We are so thankful for such special friends for us, and for our girls!

The Birthday Girls - Just don't ask them who was 3 first, or it's a big arguement between them.
