When we found out Hannah was going to be a girl, one of my first thoughts went to thinking that Karys was going to be a big sister. Being a big sister myself, there is just something truly special about that relationship. My sister growing up was my best friend, and today she is still my best friend. One of my prayers for the our girls has been that they would have the same kind of sister relationship that Tam and I have. There is just nothing like it.
Lately, the girls are starting to actually play together. When Hannah wakes up she fist says, "Shoes" and then it's "Sissy?" She wants to know where Karys is. When Karys takes off down the hall, Hannah runs after her. Seeing them together in these pictures, takes me back to my childhood. To the backyard we played in, the den we set up our little people in, the separate bedrooms we had but never slept in. So many of my happy memories include my sister - I'm praying the same for Karys and Hannah.

Here we are the the park this week. Karys was trying to give Hannah a kiss during snack time. You can see for yourself how totally uninterested Hannah was.
Bedtime - The girls love to watch their movies together and sit next to each others in their chairs. Just don't sit in the wrong chair or it's WHINE city.
Do you think we can make anything grow?
"Could you get me some candy Sissy?"
Notice Karys' face when we told her Hannah was coming home with us from the hospital. We've come a long way!
