Reminder of God's Provision

As I was standing in our driveway today, I noticed our grass was just fried, the frogs and ants are searching for water, and the flowers are just trying to survive. We NEED rain, but not like we did last year. Last year North Texas was hurting. The lakes were dangerously low. The lively hood of so many people depends on rain, and it just wasn't coming. And in a way that only God can do, He provided the rain. At just the right time, just the right amount. He always provieds.

So as I was looking at the dead grass, these images came to my mind. God knows what we need even more than we do. He knows what He's doing and He always provides, at just the right time. These pics were taken last summer, when God showed up in a mighty way, and it rained, and rained, and RAINED! We weren't able to play outside for days. On our way home from church on Wednesday night, I looked at Roger and asked, "Can we just play in the rain when we get home?" And that's what we did. Our driveway does not drain water well, so we have a nice area that will flood. A great place to splash in the puddles.

While we wait for rain, we look back resting assured that God will provide. He always does!
