When Did She Grow UP?

Our bedtime routine consists of bath, milk, TV time, book and bed. Normal order. The other night we were getting ready for the TV portion of the routine when we realized that we were recording 2 shows on the DVR that we couldn't lose. (We have to know the results of American Idol after all. : ) The conversation that follows was classic!

Roger: We're gonna have to watch a DVD so we don't mess up our shows.
Karys: (screaming in a very dramatic fashion) I Don't want to watch a DVD! I don't like a DVD! Please NO DVD!

This goes on for about a minute of screams, cries and whines about not wanting to watch a DVD. The fit is dramatically concluded with a final yell of,
"What's a DVD?"

We burst into laughter! How could we not?

After calming down and realizing that a DVD was simply a movie, the drama stopped and we were once again okay with life. The next conversation just topped off the night.

Roger was trying to explain to Karys how to figure out a problem she was having. Very politely (unlike the dramatic screams from earlier) she turns around to Roger, holds her hand up in the air and pulsates it back and forth as she says, "I don't need you to say anything else Daddy." She then turned around and solved her problem.

We again burst into laughter!
